Ten years ago, Jim Gordon proposed building a major wind farm in the middle of Nantucket Sound, fabled playground for America’s rich and famous. Dubbed “Cape Wind,” with 130 turbines standing 440 feet tall, Gordon billed the project as a clean, green power plant that should be welcomed by all.
